One of my most tried and true secret weapons in my natural healing cupboard is FLOOM-ing!
FLOOM = amazing. FLOOM = natural solution. FLOOM = plant medicine at it’s finest.
FLOOM whenever you feel a cold coming on, when you’re in the throes of an actual cold or flu, or when you are fighting a bacterial infection. FLOOM may be taken internally as well as applied topically.
Powerful for supporting healthy cellular function. It also positively impacts the immune system, nervous system, and digestive functions in the body. It’s helps maintain cellular integrity. They call it the Swiss Army Knife of oils because it has such a repertoire of healing on so many levels.
A powerful cleansing agent, lemon is a wonderful way to “clean up” the body. It supports healthy respiratory function and aids in digestive support. Just as you would use lemon to clean your home and your bathroom and get stains out of things, lemon does that for the body!
One of THEE most powerful essential oils in existence, oregano oil has been renowned for centuries for its powerful effect on enhancing immune function. This study here talks about how oregano has notable antimicrobial activity, and this study here highlights oregano essential oil’s antiviral properties. Oregano has a high phenol content, making it a powerful antioxidant.
A wonderful blend of essential oils that work synergistically to promote a healthy immune response. This blend contains Wild Orange, Clove, Cinnamon, Eucalyptus, and Rosemary, and together these 5 individual oils create a beautiful healing elixir that supports the respiratory system, the immune system, and the body’s natural antioxidant defenses.
Melaleuca, aka Tea Tree, has many medicinal properties. It has traditionally been utilized for its antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties. Tea tree accelerates wound healing, you can read about that here. Read about it the antimicrobial properties of melaleuca here. Do you know what superbugs are? Superbugs are bacteria that live in the hospitals that are resistant to antibiotics. Melaleuca is an effective treatment against some of the gnarliest offenders out there, including MRSA, MSSA, ESBL, carbapenem-resistant pneumoniae, acinetobacter-baumannii, and pseudomonas aeruginosa! Read this study to learn more!
You can also call it FLOOT, as some like to call it Tea Tree. So FLOOT or FLOOM — whatever floats your boat!
1) Add 2 drops of each to an empty veggie capsule and swallow like you would a regular pill. Take 3-4 capsules a day if you are experiencing a cold. You may do this as a preventative when you feel like you may be coming down with something.
2) If you don’t have veggie caps, take a tablespoon, add 1/2 to 1 teaspoon of honey to the larger tablespoon. Then add 2 drops each of all of the FLOOM oils. Chase with warm lemon water or regular water to help the gnarly taste of the oregano.
3) Make a rollerball of your FLOOM essential oils.
Recipe for Roller Ball FLOOM
10 drops Frankincense
10 drops Lemon
8 drops Oregano
10 drops On-Guard
10 drops Melaleuca
Directions: Fill a 10mL glass roller bottle with fractionated coconut oil. Add your oils. Apply to your wrists, inner ankles, cervical spine, neck lymph nodes, and the bottoms of your feet for powerful immune support!
Please note that this is NOT medical advice, nor is it intended to serve as or replace medical advice. I am not a doctor, just a regular gal who prefers to use plant medicine to support my body in the natural ebbs and flows of life. Please use common sense as well, and if you are very sick, contact your doctor!
I prefer to limit the amount of pharmaceuticals I put in my body, even when I am sick. Have I used Sudafed or Ibuprofen or Tylenol in the past? Yes. Many times. For like 30 years I did. When I learned that there were other solutions, I tried them out, and they have worked beautifully for me. This may not be your experience, and that’s okay, too! I’m here to provide anecdotes into my own life and what has worked for me. Instead of Dayquil, now I FLOOM. Instead of Ibuprofen for headaches, I use Past Tense. Instead of Vicks, I use Breathe. Instead of tums or pepto, I use Digestzen.
When we have natural solutions like essential oils in our cupboards, it’s easy to let nature’s gifts work their magic on our bodies. I will always believe in the power of plants!
